Middle adulthood brings on a force of change, reflection, and re-imagining one’s life. Therapy intensives can speed up your healing, growth and development so you can start living the way you want sooner. This unique, custom treatment method helps you through major life transitions or trauma — offering immediate support for transition & transformation.
With an Illumine Therapy Intensive, you can significantly shift your experience in five half-day sessions with me.
It’s perfect for those in mid-life who don’t have room in their calendar for a standing weekly appointment — and those who want to move through transition, challenge and trauma more quickly.
It’s not a sign of weakness; it’s a physiological fact. Physical accidents, toxic relationships and even well-intentioned emotional neglect can affect how we sleep, how we relate to others, and how creative and capable we feel moving in the world. We process the trauma so you can grow, feel more grounded and open up to more joy, connection and confidence.
What would you change, create or accomplish if you knew that you are absolutely good enough? Who would you be if you no longer felt the pull towards perfecting or proving your worth? Our work lightens the load of external pressures, expectations and stories about who you are – so you can be who you’re here to be, say what you’re here to say, and be a brighter light in the lives of everyone around you.

Brainspotting is a revolutionary trauma therapy discovered to provide significant relief for those suffering from trauma, including survivors of sexual assault. It operates on the principle that the location of where you look can affect how you feel, tapping into deep, non-verbal parts of the brain to process trauma. By identifying and focusing on specific eye positions, brainspotting allows individuals to access and heal emotional pain that traditional therapies might not reach, offering a path to recovery that is both profound and expedient.
Illumine Therapy, led by Kristi Keding, specializes in assisting high-achievers grappling with the aftermath of trauma, including sexual assault. Keding’s method blends traditional trauma therapy with innovative techniques tailored to the unique challenges faced by those who excel in their professional lives yet find themselves hindered by past experiences. This personalized approach not only addresses the trauma itself but also the complex interplay of success and emotional turmoil, guiding clients towards healing and a more integrated sense of self.
The therapeutic landscape for treating trauma is diverse, incorporating various evidence-based methods designed to help individuals heal and regain control over their lives. Among these, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) are prominent for their effectiveness in processing traumatic memories, reducing symptoms, and improving emotional regulation. Tailored to each person’s needs, these therapies offer hope and a pathway to recovery for those affected by trauma.
Results from trauma therapy, particularly in Ogden, UT, can vary depending on several factors, including the nature of the trauma and the individual’s personal healing journey. However, with Ogden Psychological Services employing evidence-based treatments, many clients start to see positive changes within a few sessions. Progress can manifest as reduced distress, improved coping mechanisms, and a greater sense of emotional stability, signaling the start of a transformative healing process.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) has emerged as a highly effective treatment for managing trauma, offering relief to those burdened by distressing memories. By stimulating the brain’s natural healing processes through bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps individuals reprocess traumatic memories, leading to a significant decrease in the intensity of emotional pain associated with those memories. This method has been widely recognized for its ability to facilitate rapid healing and emotional recovery.
For high-functioning professionals, trauma therapy must address the unique pressures and expectations they face, alongside their trauma. This demographic often benefits from therapies that not only focus on healing trauma but also incorporate strategies for managing stress, achieving work-life balance, and maintaining performance without compromising emotional well-being. Therapists specializing in this area are adept at creating a therapeutic approach that aligns with the driven nature of their clients, ensuring therapy supports both personal and professional goals.
Teletherapy has revolutionized access to mental health services in Utah, offering a lifeline to those experiencing trauma who might otherwise struggle to seek help. This virtual mode of therapy allows individuals to engage in treatment from the comfort of their own homes, ensuring that geographical barriers or busy schedules do not hinder the pursuit of a fulfilling life. Particularly beneficial for trauma survivors, teletherapy provides a safe, accessible space for healing, making professional support more available than ever.
Recognizing progress in trauma therapy involves both subjective and objective measures. Therapists and counselors, through their expertise, help clients identify signs of improvement such as enhanced emotional regulation, resilience in the face of stress, and a clearer understanding of one’s sexual orientation or identity. Progress may also be evident in academic or professional achievements, healthier social interactions, and a greater capacity for intimacy and trust. These milestones, whether big or small, indicate significant steps forward in the journey of healing and self-discovery.
Therapy intensives offer a concentrated approach to tackling trauma or PTSD, providing focused, in-depth sessions over a shorter period. This format can lead to rapid breakthroughs, helping individuals develop healthy relationships, improve emotional regulation, and confront life challenges with newfound strength. Led by licensed therapists in Ogden, including modalities like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and couples therapy, these intensives can catalyze significant emotional well-being improvements, making them a powerful alternative to traditional long-term therapy approaches.
You walk out of this intensive more confident in your ability to handle the hard stuff… and your power to make life not just full, but truly fulfilling.
P.S. I don’t believe anyone “needs” to be in therapy forever. After the intensive, you’re always welcome to continue on with weekly therapy, however your intensive is meant to powerfully equip you to continue on your growth journey on your own.
