Find Relief From Trauma And Experience A More Present State

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy in Utah

Somatic-based trauma therapy method.

Use your body to Heal Trauma.

Talk therapy hasn’t been enough. You still experience overwhelm, anxiety, and moments of complete collapse. Your past creeping up on you. You still have difficulty concentrating due to fears, upsetting thoughts, or unwelcomed physical body sensations. You feel frozen or stuck in familiar circumstances without understanding why. Or if you figured out the “why” the pattern still persists. You have these negative thoughts or beliefs about your ability to achieve, be successful, and deserving. Overall, you are unsure what to do.

You’ve tried lots of different things in addition to therapy.

Like Reiki, foot zoning, chakra work, and reading self-help books. Everything has helped a little but nothing that’s really been the thing that solidified change for you. You want to feel lighter. You want the heaviness to be lifted so you no longer feel numb. You’re ready to embrace a full spectrum of emotions. You are ready to feel joy and pleasure.

You are ready to move on.

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy In Utah can Help.

As a trauma therapist in Utah, I help people who want a different approach to healing their past and feeling functional, and enjoying their life. Also known as letting that shit go. If you are done with numbing out, I provide a therapy called Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, where we will use the body, senses, thoughts, emotions, words, and images to help guide you towards healing. This is a process, unlike talk therapy. This is about being in your body and working with the body.

Together we’ll use your body as a source of information and also as an intervention.

We’ll tap into the sensations in your body, thoughts, and words to help guide you. It’s a three-phase approach. First, we’ll work on creating safety and stabilization for you. Then we’ll move into really processing what you’re feeling and healing your past. And then from there, we can work on what’s called the integration phase, where we bring everything together and really encourage joy and pleasure. These sessions are 60 minutes and I meet with people weekly. The average length of therapy for my clients that provide good outcomes is 30 to 40 sessions.
